SO ALL WILL KNOW
CFGC Home office receives and depends upon financial support from the following sources (There is no denominational structure/support underwriting CFGC’s budget):
Noting the statistical report on the opposite page, CFGC’s primary funding comes from Active Duty Military Chaplains (101).
A few churches, primarily friends of the Ammermans and a few personal friends
Most State prison chaplains do not receive a decent living wage. Some hospitals, such as the VA, pay Chaplains quite well; others … well …. Federal prisons pay well – but their age requirements are more restrictive than the military.
Reserve military, including Chaplain Candidates only receive pay while in Chaplain School and/or on summer duty. Civil Air Patrol receive no pay.
CFGC only asks for 5% of income derived from positions for which we endorse.
Denominational chaplains give/tithe via their churches which then support their endorsing offices, at 100% of their expenses.
CFGC was started by the Ammerman’s, who received NO salary for the first ten (10) years, with Jim as full-time Endorser and Charlene as the Secretary. For the first sixteen (16) years, the CFGC office was in their home.
The office, now housed separately, provides for the Annual Conference – no registration fee, place of meeting, speakers, and the closing banquet, etc. Attendees provide their own transportation, meals and lodging.
